What makes a Better Buzz Coffee business unique?

We’ve spent hundreds of hours fine tuning the ins and outs of owning a coffee business. Through using Better Buzz Coffee as your franchise vehicle you eliminate the guess work of starting your new business. We provide you with the tools and materials necessary to begin your business on the right foot. We already have vendors, designers, and architects ready to assist you in starting your new business. Do I need business experience to be a Better Buzz Coffee owner?

Business experience is not required, however a strong will to succeed will be valuable in creating a successful, long-lasting business. The coffee industry involves people, people, and more people. You must have the ability to connect with customers and team members. You have the option of hiring an approved manager that will be trained by Better Buzz Coffee, which allows you to spend your days off site. But managerial skills are required of you in case management is unavailable from time to time.

You can use our years of coffee experience to your advantage through our training techniques and proven management systems that you will use on a day to day basis.

How long after submitting my application will I know if I have been rewarded a franchise opportunity?

After submitting your application and credit, our board of advisors will look it over and see if you have potential to become a franchisee. After initial review a representative will be in contact with you shortly in order to schedule a time to discuss opportunities available to you that will fit both your financial goals and business goals.

Will I be required to be at my business as a manager?

No. Although every franchise owner will be trained in all management and operations, you can also hire an approved store manager. This manager must pass a few training tests as well as a formal evaluation. We also recommend that they have at least 3 months experience at your location as a barista, in order to save in initial training costs.

What are the franchise fees?

  • Cart: $5,000

  • Kiosk: $12,500
  • Dual Drive-Up: $15,000
  • Coffee Cafe: $25,000

What does the franchise fee include?

  • 3 days of training before your opening week with the major focus on business operations, planning, employee training, and drink preparation.
  • Better Buzz Coffee has a team of professionals that work towards increasing your sales with local and national ad campaigns. Along with monthly promotional banners and posters for your location.
  • Access to our exclusive line of products at a discounted rate.
  • Our custom business plan designed to fit your location and needs.
  • BUZZ College for two weeks. Including drink systems, recipes, maintenance on your equipment, customer service, and education on coffee roasting and tasting.
  • Support from a Better Buzz Coffee location specialist, who will guide you through the location selection process and assist you with lease negotiation.

Does Better Buzz Coffee award territories?

You will be given the rights to a mutually agreed upon geographic area. No other Better Buzz Coffee owner can open a cart, kiosk, drive thru, or coffee shop in your protected area.

What kind of training will I receive?

    You will receive the industry's revered educational tools including:
  • Barista Training Academy
    • A brief history of coffee and its regions characteristics.
    • General tastes and characteristics of our coffee roasts.
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintanance tasks to keep your machines running for years to come.
    • Extracting the perfect shot of espresso, steaming and frothing milk for the most delectable cappuccinos and lattes.
  • The Better Buzz Coffee daily operation manual. Providing you with paperwork for day to day activities including hiring, training, inventory and promotions.
  • Our specialty consultants will assist you with phone consultation during the process of the build out of your unit or store.
  • What about ongoing guidance with operations?

    Experienced coffee consultants will be available either in person or over the phone(depending on your location and availability) to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. Consultants are available Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

    How many employees does it take to operate my business?

    Depending on the size of your operation, (i.e. cart, kiosk, coffee shop, or drive thru) you will need a few key team members to assist you with the growth of your operation. With a cart we suggest two part time employees and one full time. With a kiosk, depending on your hours of operation, we suggest three full time and two part time employees. Coffee shops vary, but usually one key manager, three full time and three part time employees. We will assist you in deciding what size staff to begin your business with.

    What are the normal hours of operation?

    We suggest operating hours with minimum hours of 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at corporate or professional centers. And from 6:00a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on coffee houses. These hours and days can always be extended or changed depending on your customers' needs or property management’s requests.

    Where do I purchase products and supplies?

    Better Buzz Coffee has our own line of gourmet coffee, espresso, chocolates and flavorings. We will provide you with everything from our signature Mocha Buzz drink mix to pure caramel and vanilla for some of our signature espresso drinks. Mints, biscottis, traveler mugs, and whole bean coffees will all be provided from corporate headquarters. Pastries will be approved in your local area by a Better Buzz Coffee consultant. You can order these items through a representative Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You will be required to use certain products and pastries. This requirement is to your advantage, since you can take part in discounted product purchased through a large group.

    Is my Better Buzz Coffee franchise transferable?

    You can sell your Better Buzz Coffee business and can transfer the franchise over to a party that has been approved by Better Buzz Coffee Company. Ask a representative for details on transfer of ownership.

    What is the initial investment?

    To begin the process of starting your own business you may need as little as 50,000 or as much as 250,000 depending on the location and size of your new Better Buzz Coffee location. Please contact a representative for detailed budgets.
